Mariinsky Woodwind Quintet
The Mariinsky Woodwind Quintet was founded in 2003 by five of the best Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra soloists. Since then the ensemble has been regularly performing at various concert venues in Russia and Germany.
The ensemble’s repertoire includes both original works for wind quintet and arrangements of great masterpieces by composers such as Mussorgsky, Ravel and Gershwin. The musicians have also appeared at the Kissinger Sommer festival in Bad Kissingen (Germany) and as part of collaboration between the Mariinsky Theatre and the Tonali Competition in Hamburg. The Wind Quintet is also a regular participant of the Russian-German Academy and has taken part in concerts at the Beethoven Festival in Bonn and the Munich Music Festival.
RCCR Artists represents the Mariinsky Woodwind Quintet in the DACH countries, Russian-speaking territories and in the Baltics.
